Should I be concerned if Homeowners Mortgage is located out of state?

There is very little difference in working with us locally, over the phone, fax or Internet: we only use local appraisers and closing firms. We let you, or your Realtor, recommend which appraiser and closing firm you use.

We overnight mail all of the critical documents to you and, of course, our office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and we are open for business on the web 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

What can I do to speed up the process?

The single best thing you can do is to sign and return your loan package promptly. This is entirely under your control and easily done.

What could prevent a fast closing?

The usual sources of delay are if Homeowners Mortgage does not receive the necessary documents from either the appraisers or title company/closing firms. YOU are paying for these services and you can/should make sure you receive value from these vendors. One phone call to these vendors can save weeks of delay.
